Teresa Myers is a retired educator currently serving as Director of the Presbyterian Children's Center. Teresa grew up in Longview and is a graduate of Longview High School. She earned her B.S. in Education from the University of Texas at Tyler, specializing in early childhood and reading, and began her career in Longview at the J.L. Everhart campus teaching Kindergarten. She later completed certifications in Special Education and English As a Second Language.
She worked as a teacher in Kindergarten for 15 years. During that time, she returned to college at Stephen F. Austin State University and earned her Masters Degree in Education, specializing in School Counseling. After serving as a Counselor for several years, she returned to the University of Texas at Tyler and earned her Principalship Certification and served as the Early College High School Principal in Palestine ISD.
After retiring from public school administration, she moved home to Longview, and went to work for the Presbyterian Children's Center. Her goal is to hire and retain certified teachers and highly qualified individuals to teach the children at Presbyterian Children's Center and to ensure the success of each child attending PCC.
